Story

The recording credits Walter J. Kin with music, lyrics, arrangement and production and Riglis Band with performance. The author's description explicitly calls Passover Light an alternative version of Pesach. That is a documented relationship within the contemporary project, not a claim that these words are translated from a traditional Hebrew song.

The shared core begins with matzah in a child's hand and moves through candlelight, stories and freedom. The second part asks the listener to carry that light onward. The images are simple, but they form a sequence from receiving memory at home to accepting a responsibility to share it.

The published version note identifies one specific lyric change: the earlier line beginning with Pesach brightening the listener's eyes is replaced by a line beginning with laughter. Both retain the same concluding image. Moving from the name of the holiday to an experience within it changes the emphasis without changing the occasion of the song.

The production account describes this arrangement as warmer and closer to klezmer and folk for family listening. Treat that as the creator's description until the recordings are compared directly.
