A revival of Jewish song. In the Russian language. Carried by people who were never Jewish themselves.

The Russian-language lyrics for our catalog were written by Olga Anikina, a Russian poet, not Jewish. The lead vocalist of the Russian catalog is Elechka, a singer from Moscow, also not Jewish. The poet, the singer, and most of the audience share no Jewish bloodline.

And yet, every third comment on the channel begins with the same phrase: «I am not Jewish, but...»

The songs reach them anyway. Songs from the shtetl, from the Vilnius ghetto, from Brooklyn streets, from Jerusalem mornings, and Russian, Tatar, Azerbaijani, Ukrainian listeners write back that something inside them broke open. That they cry. That they hear in these melodies «the history, the longing, the aspirations of an ancient people».

This is the miracle. Jewish song, written by non-Jews, sung by non-Jews, changing how non-Jews see Jews, and Jewish culture, and themselves.
